Or entry, as I suppose it is called in the blogging world.
This may be the first entry here, but the Rarely Updated Electronic Log (or RUEL) has existed in another form before. Back in the days it was a homemade "blog" cobbled together using php and plain text files. If I remember correctly, it wasn't very sophisticated, it just listed the entries on a page. It did have a field showing my current interests, though.
The name RUEL was chosen for two reasons. Because it made a nice acronym, and because I didn't want to update it every day (it had seven entries, five added in 2005, and one added in 2006 and 2007 respectively). I was also thinking of calling it Rue-log, but wasn't that fond of the idea.
The old RUEL was hosted on my old homepage, that was hosted on the (now discontinued) free webhosting of www.start.no. The old homepage was mainly a list of links and descriptions of the sites they linked to.
That's all for now, I think, I'll add a new entry next time I feel like it.
